Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam`s commercial and economic center. It has a modern seaport and is home to the Vietnam Stock Exchange (VSE), the largest stock exchange in the country. Food, glass, textiles, paper products, plastics, chemicals, building materials and machines are produced there. Ho Chi Minh City accounts for approximately 20% of the gross national product (GDP), 30% of industrial production and 40% of all Vietnamese exports.

The city also accounts for some 33% of the national budget. 60% of all foreign investments flow into the region. During the past few years, the economy has grown at a rate of more than 10% (six to eight percent nationwide).

How to Get to SECC

By taxi:
The Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center(SECC) is located about 25 km away from Tan Son Nhat International Airport. It takes about 30 - 40 minutes (by taxi) from the Airport to SECC.

Some taxi agents are available at the airport: Mai Linh, Vinasun, Saigon Tourist,...(approx.:15 USD-17 USD).
From the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, it takes 20-30 minutes to SECC and the costs occur to about 10 USD-15 USD.

By buses:
Bus services to SECC: The buses Number 34 and 102 are leaving from the Centre of Ho Chi Minh City (Ben Thanh Market, Dong Khoi Str.) to the exhibition centre. The buses stop near the entrance of the Exhibition & Convention Centre.

Travelling by bus costs 5,000 VND (approx. 0,30 USD) per person and it takes about half an hour. Buses run every 15-20 minutes from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

SECC is accessible via one of two major bridges: Tan Thuan and Kenh Te.
