Ho Chi Minh City / Munich, April 12, 2011. The second analytica
Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City came to a close on Saturday, and it was
a complete success. The number of exhibitors at the fair increased by
70
percent compared to the premiere in 2009. A total of 127 companies from
19 countries
presented their products and their latest developments in the analysis,
laboratory-technology and biotechnology sectors to 3.647 trade
visitors. Demand
for high-quality analysis and laboratory equipment was particularly
high.
Attendance at the Vietnam
Conference and the program of related events that were held in
conjunction with
the fair was also high. "We are very pleased
about the enormous interest that exhibitors and visitors have displayed in analytica
Vietnam 2011," explains Susanne Grödl, Exhibition Director of analytica in
Munich. "The
outcome of this year's fair shows that the Vietnamese market has grown
considerably during the past two years and still has a great deal of potential
to offer future events."
There were a total of 127
exhibitors at this year's fair including 24 Vietnamese companies and 103
international companies. The largest contingent of international exhibitors was
from Germany
with 37 companies. China, France and Great Britain were also well
represented. Visitors were primarily interested in products for food and
environmental analysis such as equipment for trace-metal analysis or for
analyzing organic traces and impurities. Leading manufacturers such as Agilent,
Analytik Jena, Bruker, Dionex, Shimadzu und Thermo Fisher had products like
these on exhibit.
At the end of the three-day event, exhibitors were
very pleased with the fair's results:
"We are very pleased with the response and the
quality of the visitors. The sector for food-analysis equipment met with
special interest. Having documentation available in Vietnamese was important.
The technical expertise and politeness of the Vietnamese visitors created a very
pleasant atmosphere at the fair”, said Jürgen Behr, Managing Director at behr
Labor-Technik GmbH.
Shirley Chapman, Export Area Sales Manager at
Carbolite: „Pleasantly
surprised by the level of attendance. We expect to increase our level of
business in Vietnam
as a result of our attendance."
Francis Pithon, General Manager at
Fabrilabo (Association of Laboratory Equipment Manufacturers and Traders) was
also extremely satisfied with the show: "This
show was excellent as it enabled us to meet genuine customers and also to have
access to a very good distribution network. It is a good opportunity for SME’s
to have access to this growing market."
Phan Than Hai Bao from Shimadzu: "In fact, this exhibition helps our company to
increase the market share. More people know our company."

Convincing program of
related events Attendance was also high at the analytica Vietnam
Conference (209 participants) and the program of related events, which included
workshops on specific themes and the Exhibitor Forum. The trend in the sector
for the food industry and environmental analysis was also noticeable in the
individual events on the agenda: The "Validation of Analytical Methods for
FDA and EU Compliance" workshop gave visitors such as directors of food
laboratories information about the latest regulations and standards resulting
from collaboration with the European Union.
The next analytica Vietnam is being held in the spring
of 2013.
